Lynne Goes Above and Beyond for One of Our Young People
One of our Moments That Matter winners, Lynne, has shown amazing dedication and kindness in her role as a Residential Childcare Worker. Her care and compassion have made a real difference in helping one of our young people begin a new and exciting chapter in his life.
Meeting new people and starting fresh can be a big challenge for any young person. This was true for the young person who recently joined Campsie View. From the very beginning, Lynne made sure he felt supported and safe. She went out of her way to meet his social worker, even collecting them from the airport, to help create a sense of comfort and trust before his move.
Over the next few weeks, Lynne kept in regular contact, offering reassurance and checking in often. She collected him from friends’ homes when needed and made sure he always felt cared for and looked after. Her gentle approach helped give him the confidence to take that next step and move into Campsie View, where he quickly became part of our welcoming community.
Since his arrival, Lynne has continued to be a steady source of support. She has shown endless patience and understanding, helping him settle in and learn new life skills. She supported him through his college and funding applications and encouraged him to join a local football team so he could stay connected with his friends and community.
Lynne added:
"I felt that he looked for me and responded to the support I was offering while he was here. Even though he found it difficult living at CV, I supported his move by packing his belongings and adding a few extra home comforts to help him settle."
The progress he has made is truly inspiring. He now travels independently, attends college and spends time with his friends. He is thriving and achieving his goals, and so much of that success is thanks to Lynne’s kindness, care and belief in him.
Lynne’s commitment and compassion truly reflect what Inspire stands for, and we are so proud to have her as part of our team.
