Location: Cumbria – Peripatetic
Reports to: Managing Director
Salary: £56,021 - £60,000, based on experience

Following the successful opening of two nurturing homes in Cumbria and with another on the way in the Dumfries and Galloway area, we’re looking for an experienced, values-driven Responsible Individual to support and oversee the growth and continued success of our services in England.

What the role involves:
As Responsible Individual, you will be accountable for overseeing the care, safety, and well-being of children across our registered services. Working closely with our Registered Managers and leadership team, you’ll ensure that:
Services are fully compliant with Ofsted, Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards
The highest standards of safeguarding, care and support are consistently delivered
Local authority care planning duties are understood and supported effectively by the homes
Children’s voices are central to how we design, deliver and improve our services
Our values, vision and policies are clearly reflected in everyday practice
What we’re looking for:
Significant experience in children’s social care and a deep understanding of the responsibilities of a Responsible Individual
A strong grasp of the regulatory landscape, including Ofsted, care planning requirements, and effective residential practice
An unwavering commitment to the safety, well-being and empowerment of looked-after children
Confidence in working collaboratively with leadership, external professionals and local authorities
NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care or equivalent
A desire to be part of something genuinely meaningful and growing
A valid driving licence as will need to visit various homes
