We are committed to professional development and provide training and support to all staff, working to individualised professional development plans (PDP) unique to each staff member.

Staff have access to comprehensive training including mandatory training and professional qualifications to meet regulatory requirements, and specific training to meet the needs of young people.

The value we place on building positive relationships with young people reflects local and national best practice guidance and legislation as well as current and emerging research in trauma informed practice; all of which are fundamental to our philosophy of care and form part of our training.

While it is important for our staff to have qualifications which reflect regulatory requirements, we recognise that core values and personal qualities are the most fundamental attributes for a residential childcare practitioner to possess. Therefore, we also welcome candidates who are looking to begin a career in professional care and facilitate the attainment of relevant qualifications for new members of staff after mandatory training and a successful probationary period have been completed.
