Set in the rolling countryside in South Lanarkshire, Green Pastures offers our young people a safe place in which they can feel secure.
It’s rural location allows us to offer a calm environment and with staff support, our young people can start building or re-building their lives at a pace that is right for them. There are no busy roads, noisy neighbours, or aggressive distractions but nearby there are all the amenities that allow us to build the right and appropriate community round our young people.
Green Pastures provides flexible accommodation for children and young people between the ages of 10 and 18 years within the main house. This includes respite, long term stays and everything in between. The service also has two community-based flats and we have recently opened a beautiful one-bedroom cottage within the grounds of the main house. Each of these resources offer young people the opportunity to live in an environment where they will receive 1:1 support from a small dedicated team of staff. Young people can stay in these resources up to the age of 21 years.
We can offer a range of therapeutic services to young people including attachment, trauma and anger management. Staff can also access specialised support that supports them in being effective carers. This offers the opportunity to promote the wellbeing of the young people by ensuring that our carers are able to empathise with those who may have had traumatic experiences and to encourage them to overcome these 'to be the best they can be' and achieve their potential.
